Angels



An Angel from the Book of Life

Wrote down my baby's birth,

And whispered as she closed the book

"Too Beautiful for Earth"

I never got to hold your hands
But still you touched my heart
I never got to see your smiles
Or stroke your faces fair
I never got to watch you sleep
And yet I've seen your dreams
I never got to hear you laugh
But still I don't despair.

I know you will return my loves
One day I'll hold your hands
I know that when the time is right
Your cries will reach my ear
And all the grief will melt away
Your light will fill our hearts
And we will love you more than life
Our angels held so dear
